Publishing a New Education DVD of Plastic
“Japan Initiative for Marine Environment (JaIME)” has created and published a new education DVD of Plastic,
titled “Plastics and Us -Its Contribution Towards a Sustainable Society-” .
This DVD was produced to help understanding of preciousness and value of plastic, also to contribute reduction of littering.
The original DVD was created in Japanese, and is currently used as a supplementary teaching material of science in junior high school.

ICCA Board of Directors Gathers in Tokyo

The awards ceremony will be held at the 23rd JCIA Annual Convention on May 29 and awardees will make presentations at the JCIA Symposium 2014 to be held on June 2 in Tokyo.

JCIA Announces 7th Annual Responsible Care Award Winners
The Japan Chemical Industry Association (JCIA, Chairman: Kyohei Takahashi, Chairman of Showa Denko K.K.) recently announced its 7th annual Responsible Care Award winners.
JCIA established the JCIA Responsible Care Committee to preserve environment, safety, and health in all chemical processes, including development, production, distribution, use, final consumption, and disposal of chemicals. JCIA works to communicate and promote the achievements of the program to the public.
45th Annual JCIA Technology Award Winners Announced
The Japan Chemical Industry Association has announced the winners of its 45th Annual Technology Awards. The JCIA Technology Award, which commends companies that have developed technologies that contribute to the development of chemical industry and the economy, presents awards in the following categories: Grand Prize, Special Technology Prize, and Environmental Technology Prize.
