The Japan Chemical Industry Association (JCIA, Chairman: Kyohei Takahashi, Chairman of Showa Denko K.K.) recently announced its 7th annual Responsible Care Award winners.
JCIA established the JCIA Responsible Care Committee to preserve environment, safety, and health in all chemical processes, including development, production, distribution, use, final consumption, and disposal of chemicals. JCIA works to communicate and promote the achievements of the program to the public.
As a part of such activities, the Responsible Care Award is given to individuals and groups from the JCIA member companies who have contributed to improved awareness among employees on the importance of environment, safety, and health in all processes. This year marks the seventh year of the RC Awards.
